FinELib will be hosting an OA discussion event for various stakeholders in the scholarly publishing community at the National Library of Finland on November 8th from 8:30-10:00 am.
The event provides an opportunity for editors, editorial board members and scholarly societies to discuss their thoughts on how journals could comply with OA requirements set forth by funders (e.g. Plan S) and to learn about what a transition to open access could look like.
We will also update you on how FinELib is advancing OA and on how various Scandinavian stakeholders are collaborating to facilitate the transition to open access.
FinELib is a consortium made up of Finnish universities, research institutions and public libraries. It negotiates e-resource license agreements with several major international publishers, including Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, and Sage.
We are especially welcoming editors, editorial board members and societies whose journals are published by large international publishers, though the event is open to other editors and editorial board members interested in open access flipping as well.
